Threads of Life Ministry is supplied by many types of donations. We always need fabric, and any kind of sewing supply used to make clothing, quilts, home decor, crafts, etc. Everything from scissors, tape measures, sewing needles, machine needles, to batting and fabric, etc.  Having these supplies available helps us provide the sewing classes with products the students are not able to afford. The look on a woman or young girls face when they have accomplished a sewing product is just priceless!! Their confidence and self worth rose quit a bit that day!

As an organization, we collect crochet hooks, knitting needles to supply classes in Urban communities here in America and internationally. You can help by collection from your own stash or by purchasing. It is a good project to do as a women's group; church or sewing group to give out some help to women in less advantaged areas of our communities, and in other parts of the world where these items are priceless tools, especially when it means an income for families.

To make cancer and chemo hats are a very special way to give  to those who have faced the hard treatments for cancer.  It is a simple and inexpensive gift of  self-image and confidence during and after treatment.  Many of us have left over balls of yarn that can be used for this project; mix and match yarn and  getting creative with colors and patterns. Your local Cancer Center will receive these cancer/chemo hats. It is a great "pick me up" to cancer patients who need someone showing that they care.

*** If you would like to collect and donate yarn/wool, contact me and I will make sure it gets used for cancer/chemo hats. (pictures will be posted).
